Day 118: I didn’t necessarily feel like it…

but this morning I went for a run!

I was quite sleepy, I was a little weary, I almost didn’t leave myself enough time (I got up at 5:45 but didn’t actually get out of the house until 7:15). Even as I pulled into the car park outside the gym which is also the one for the park, I was still having the shall I shan’t I debate with myself.

I made myself run.

I surprised myself too…It was hard, I had to fight to keep going, but I did and I managed to pull off a faster average time than I did on Tuesday so I am very proud of myself!!

harder but better 🙂

I set my interval timer going for this one, but I may as well not bother, because I more or less ignored it, I ran sooner than it said, walked if I needed to and ran through my “walk intervals” if I felt I could keep going! I really just keep it on so I don’t overrun and be late for work!

My next goal is to get my self into gear and get to the park early enough that I can plan a 5k run and go until I have completed it. I am sure I will be able to do it I just need slightly longer than the only just half an hour I left myself this morning!

Still very pleased and I think, against all odds, I might be turning into a runner, this activity seems to be here to stay!

The other thing I learned this morning is that when the boiler is broken in your house you think it is colder than it really is and where thermal running leggings and a thermal base layer top, I was far too warm running…it is only October after all! never mind 🙂

That is all for now, there may be more later I am planning a body pump but we will see.

So for now…Day 118 complete 🙂

I really think that the hard part about exercising is the voice in our heads. You showed up and got it done. Great job!
