Day 171: More Monday Body Pump

eeek…I am behind on this blog lark…I will do better I promise!

So in the spirit of attempting to give body pump a fair chance, I am sticking to my promise of last week, I will keep going until the new release to fairly assess whether I have really become disillusioned with the whole thing or whether it is just this particular release.

5k plates

I stuck with my higher weights on the squats track and chest and lunges track, I managed to up the weights on the chest fly by using the 5kg plates in place of the dumbbells…

I tried to do the same for the bicep track…but I learned pretty quickly that my hands are not actually big enough to hold 5 kg plates with any degree of safety O_o So I had to swap back to the 3 kg plates to forestall the disaster I could see looming…or to put it another way, I thought I was going to drop them on my feet!

I couldn’t hold them for tricep kickbacks either…stupid tiny hands!

I really hope the next release has better music, it is the music that makes the difference to this class! I used to like it and as a good part of a varied training routine, it is good for muscular endurance which is not a bad thing to have, as long as it is not the only thing you have 🙂 Muscular endurance is good for posture and reducing fatigue in prolonged activity, all of these are not bad things to have 🙂

Day 171 complete 🙂
