Day 171: More Monday Body Pump

eeek…I am behind on this blog lark…I will do better I promise!

So in the spirit of attempting to give body pump a fair chance, I am sticking to my promise of last week, I will keep going until the new release to fairly assess whether I have really become disillusioned with the whole thing or whether it is just this particular release.

5k plates

I stuck with my higher weights on the squats track and chest and lunges track, I managed to up the weights on the chest fly by using the 5kg plates in place of the dumbbells…

I tried to do the same for the bicep track…but I learned pretty quickly that my hands are not actually big enough to hold 5 kg plates with any degree of safety O_o So I had to swap back to the 3 kg plates to forestall the disaster I could see looming…or to put it another way, I thought I was going to drop them on my feet!

I couldn’t hold them for tricep kickbacks either…stupid tiny hands!

I really hope the next release has better music, it is the music that makes the difference to this class! I used to like it and as a good part of a varied training routine, it is good for muscular endurance which is not a bad thing to have, as long as it is not the only thing you have πŸ™‚ Muscular endurance is good for posture and reducing fatigue in prolonged activity, all of these are not bad things to have πŸ™‚

Music does make a huge difference in this class, I agree. I’m hoping that we are onto the new release here in Toronto. I’m hitting class tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I am sure it will be better just because it is different πŸ˜€ I think we will get it after Christmas

I wonder why they delay the releases over there. From what I heard, they were starting new release here a few days after I left for Vegas (end of Nov).

p.s. UK is closer to New Zealand than Canada is, and given Les Mills is out of NZ, you’d think you guys would get it first. πŸ™‚

Hehe true! I am not sure I don’t know if it is just my class, I know the instructor is quite new so maybe she just wants to make sure she really knows it…I will have to google when it is supposed to be out! πŸ™‚
