Junethon: It is a real thing!

Remember Janathon…

if not look here: Janathon stuff

thing

this is another thing…

Well there is another thing…called Juneathon and I signed up for it πŸ™‚

It works the same way as janathon…I have to do some form of exercise every day and blog about it every day…

or tweet…I could tweet about it…I can do twitter!

you may have noticed I have not been quite as dedicated to the daily exercise, or to the blogging in the past month or two as I was at the beginning of the year…

well I haven’t stopped altogether, but I have done less than I would like, less in fact than I should be doing!

I have the usual spattering of excuses, too busy, too much study, too many weird unexplained shoulder injuries, too many new tattoo days, you know the sort of thing… But I have said it before and I will doubtless say it again…

just get running!

get moving!

No excuses are valid! Exercise is mandatory!

So with that in mind, I am going to exercise and blog for every day in June, I am going to treat it as the kick up the bum that I need to stop myself losing focus πŸ˜€

It is going to be awesome! why not join me!

click this...it will take you to their lovely site!

Well, I was basically a lump of flesh for most of April because my gallbladder tried to kill me. I managed some long walks on good days, and ever since surgery, but not much more outside of that.

Then I decided to do STUPID Tracy Anderson’s Arms workout last Friday – which felt hard, but okay because I wasn’t jostling about my mid section, which is still healing. This gave me a false sense of confidence, and so I decided to do the FitnessBlender.com 100 Squats program, which is that rapid fire, 10x, 10 different types of squats all done inside of 8 minutes. It features many explosive movements: jump squats, 3 point squats, rocket squats, etc. – which felt hard but okay AT THE TIME.

HOLY SH&T – the pain later that day plus the next two days. Only today am I walking somewhat normal. My quads literally forgot what exercise felt like.

Also, I had an appointment with my new family doctor today, and he gave me proper shit for doing that kind of exercise 2.5 weeks post-op. So, there’s that. I guess it’s back to walking and arms for me, for now.

    Hope you are well!
