Throwback tuesday: Dear Running…

Throwback tuesday!!
Ok…I know that isn’t a thing but it is a thing today!!

This was a year ago today…can you believe it!!

I am still a little bit cross with running for this…but it isn’t really running’s fault and I am slowly getting back into it!

Midsummer 365 Projects

Dear Running,

I think we should take a break…

We have had our good times, but recently not so much…and after Sunday I think I have reached my limit!

I may be willing to flirt with you in the future…but it will never be a serious thing!

I composed this in my head, many many times over on Sunday as I tried to find ways to get myself to the finish the dreaded half marathon without flagging down a passing cyclist and demanding a lift! Actually the one I composed had many more rude words and absolutes in it than this one, but I have calmed down now!

I didn’t do that by the way…I made it…all the way to the end…under my own power and everything 😀

And to prove it is true…I got one of these!!

It is a massive medal! And you…

Throwback Thursday: Extra – Biggest Challenge yet!

Wow…2 years ago today I signed up for my PT course!! 😀

Midsummer 365 Projects

imagesThis one is a biggy!

No, I am not running a marathon, I have not  signed up to walk 100kms (although I am still thinking about that shh) I have not even signed up for a 10k…

This on is not an event based challenge, it is a huge step towards making my lifestyle change a permanent one challenge (please don’t analyse the grammar in that sentence!). It is a huge incentive to carry on working on my own health and fitness.

Ok…I’ll tell you what it is…

I have signed up for a Personal Training course 😀

logo-futurefitThis one in fact: Specialist Diploma in Advanced Personal Training (Training Techniques Specialist I will become first a qualified Level 2 gym instructor and the qualified Level 3 personal trainer.  It is both really really exciting, and really really terrifying! I signed up yesterday, and it was this that made me slightly…

Throwback Thursday: I did it!

So this was a year ago!! I can hardly believe it! It seemed appropriate for a Throwback Thursday!

Midsummer 365 Projects

personal trainer

I may have just ever so slightly passed my Level 3 Personal Training Assessment this weekend 😀

By ever so slightly I mean completely!

So that is it, I can now train people 😀 officially and for money and suchlike!

I have to finish my nutrition before I get my full diploma but that is in progress 😀

It was OK as assessments go, I didn’t do some things as well as I know I can, so I came away a little frustrated with myself and feeling rather flat.

However, that doesn’t matter…what matters is I passed and I know what I didn’t do well so I will do better next time.

What also matters is that I know it was the assessment situation putting me off and not my knowledge or ability 😀

Throwback Thursday: Full Circuit(s)

Hello all, as part of this Throwback Thursday malarkey I thought it would be good to look back at the (almost) start of this project. I was inspired by Nancy’s look back to the start of her journey and decided to take a little time to assess how far I have come.
THis particular post seemed appropriate considering I am in the process of attempting to get myslef organised enough to run my own circuits class…If you had told me that on day 17 I might have laughed (or possibly considering what day 17 was like…cried…) Read More…
